Academic Eye began when founder Ashley Brockmann stepped out of the classroom after seventeen years as a teacher, reading intervention specialist, and literacy consultant. She saw the same challenges everywhere she went. Teachers were overwhelmed by scattered data. Families wanted to help but did not always understand what their child needed. Students often had no clear way to see their own goals or progress. Ashley realized that improving education would take more than adding another program to an already crowded landscape. It would require creating one clear, simple place where learning made sense for everyone. Academic Eye was born from that vision. 

Academic Eye exists to create real improvement in education by bringing clarity to learning. Instead of adding more tools, we connect the information schools already use and bring it together in a way that highlights what truly matters for student growth. Our platform centers each child’s Proficiency Progressions, which show what a student has mastered, what they are working on now, and what comes next. Academic Eye is not just a product. It is a movement focused on aligning teachers, families, and students around a shared understanding of learning and empowering schools with a system that creates meaningful, lasting change.
